Therapy groups are a great cost-effecteive way to get healing. Groups generally have between 3-8 members in them, and they can really help you with accountability, support, and learning to be intimate and grow in intimate connection with other human beings. Banyan Therapy Group is currently facilitating psychotherapy groups for sex addicts and partners of sex addicts.
The goal of our online men’s sexual recovery process group is to help members develop self-awareness, empathy, encouragement, transparency, and solidarity that can provide a foundation for increased strength, courage, and hope in their sexual recovery. We’ve limited the number of members in the group to provide enough time for sharing and to foster stronger emotional intimacy, connection, and safety within the group. The group is formatted as a traditional-style group that allows members a safe and confidential space to share sensitive thoughts and behaviors. Discussion in the group flows based on what members would like to share, with the therapist facilitating “process” discussion by reflecting on the interpersonal dynamics, discussion content, and the individual and group emotional states, all with the purpose of creating an environment for members to be challenged to grow both individually and communally.
If you have any further questions, or to reserve your space in the group, please feel free to reach out to the group facilitator, David Boyajian, at David@BanyanTherapy.com or call (818) 435-7847 ext 24.

Our Betrayed Partners Group offers a place of safety and support for women who are in relationship with a sex addict. We take a trauma approach in the group, understanding that the impact of sexual addiction on a relationship and on a partner is traumatic. Our goal is to help the women in our group receive support, and to empower themselves to thrive. This group is co-facilitated by myself and a female colleague.

Partner betrayal trauma can cause high anxiety and debilitating triggers. It can also keep you isolated from loved ones out of fear that they won’t understand. For these reasons, we’re offering a new ongoing support group for betrayed partners. This support group will provide a space to process your trauma with others who share similar experiences. This non-judgemental space will be facilitated by a therapist to assist in healing from betrayal trauma. You will also get to hear experiences of others and become a part of a community where you are not alone in your recovery. You don’t have to fight this fight alone.
This is an ongoing processing group, so we ask that you commit to three months for consistency and trust building. This group is designed to follow our 8-week partner’s group which focuses on tools to assist those in the beginning of their recovery process. It is recommended that participants are in individual therapy.

Those suffering from this abuse may suffer incredible trauma and their sense of self-worth and confidence may be greatly impacted. This group is designed to help those suffering through the fog to “find themselves” through the support of others who can relate. You will also be provided with tools to advocate for yourself as well as learn how to not fall into the narcissist victim patterns that you have grown accustomed to.
