  • M.S. in Counseling; California State University Fullerton

As Banyan’s intake coordinator, I am here to help as you set out on your journey towards healing and recovery. Reaching out for help and sharing your story with a stranger (especially over the phone) can be extremely difficult, and I work to provide all new clients with a bit of judgment-free space so that you may talk openly about the problems you are facing. Beyond the initial contact, I will also act as your liaison throughout the intake process and work to connect you with the therapist that best matches your needs and preferences.

As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, my goal is to facilitate healing through empowerment, validation, and deep self-reflection. I believe that people are more than the problems they face, or the labels that are placed on them, or the trauma that they have endured. I want to help others explore their inner selves and re-write their stories so that they may live freely and authentically.

In addition to my schooling in counseling, I also have an academic background in gender and feminist studies. I enjoy working with individuals from any cultural, spiritual, sexual, and gender background, but I am especially informed on issues impacting those who identify as LGBTQ+ and those interested in exploring different forms of gender and/or sexual expression. I also have clinical experience working with folks experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, post-traumatic stress, intimate partner abuse, sexual assault, disordered eating, and issues unique to the neurodiverse community.

A bit about me: As a lifelong couch potato I find that I am at my happiest when I get to relax and lose myself in a good television show, film, book, or narrative-based video game. I especially enjoy detective mysteries, thrillers, period dramas, science fiction, and fantasy. I also love a good documentary/docuseries, podcast, and competition-based reality show. When it’s time to unplug and engage in some physical activity, I love doing yoga or going for a swim.
